Derek studied radio/television & theater performance at S.I.U.-C, graduating in 1988 with his B.A. He immediately went to work in radio as an on-air talent and production director. It was this latter position where he discovered his love of voice acting and “Theater of the mind”. After a 23-year career in radio, he broke out of that industry and began pursuing a voice acting career full-time, in 2010. Since then, he has voiced for thousands of projects, ranging from eLearning, to Corporate branding, Explainer videos, MOH, dubbing, audiobooks and guided tours. He feels so fortunate to be doing the work he loves on a consistent basis.
